Inside Technical Sales Representative

SUMMARY
The selected candidate will undertake an Inside Sales role, focusing on domestic sales accounts within a designated region.
They will be responsible for achieving sales targets through direct engagement with regional sales managers, channel partners, sales agents, and end customers.
Responsibilities include documenting all contact interactions and developing a strategic sales opportunity plan.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in technical product sales, proficient CRM reporting and record management, as well as key account oversight, while demonstrating strong technical knowledge of load cells, torque transducers, and instrumentation.
Daily support will be provided primarily through phone, email, and written communication. The candidate will initiate, track, and ensure the timely completion of all sales orders and requests from channels/customers.
While travel may be necessary to support channel partners and key accounts/customers, the primary work will be conducted at Interface.
The successful candidate will gain in-depth knowledge of all company products to deliver exceptional technical support to their assigned channel/customer base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet and exceed sales objectives as established with the direct supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively across departments to expedite sales orders and fulfill customer requirements.
- Serve as an efficient administrator and communicator to customers, representatives, and internal teams.
- Respond to customer inquiries within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Maintain consistent communication with all key channel partners and customers within the assigned territory.
- Proactively address all engineering requests and purchase orders, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Provide outstanding support and management of CRM data.
- Develop a credible opportunities list by actively engaging with distributors, channel partners, and sales agents in the assigned territory.
- Deliver product training, marketing materials, and other sales support resources to distributors, channel partners, and field agents.
- May require travel to support overall sales efforts and assist with promotional events and trade shows.
- Collaborate with team members to produce product releases, catalogs, and online content.
- Stay informed about all Interface product advancements and competitive offerings.
- Effectively gather necessary information on new applications, identify customer needs, and assess purchasing intentions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in inside sales of technical products.

- Exceptional listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all products, services, and prototypes.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion; must be a self-starter.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Highly effective in building relationships and driving sales.
- Able to interact with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Quickly comprehend various applications and recommend appropriate products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving items weighing over 35 pounds.
