The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare providers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing venipuncture services and assisting with extended scope duties such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintaining high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Dispensary responsibilities including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up
- Assisting with patient intake, same-day schedule management, and follow-up scheduling
- Providing administrative support, including answering phone calls, sending faxes, and coordinating transportation for patients
- Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, and supporting in-office providers with ad-hoc asks

What You'll NeedTo be successful in this role, you'll need:
- An active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT with at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Graduated from a postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or another accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a range of $25.75 to $27.75 per hour, based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location.

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with shifts generally taking place between 8:00am-6:00pm based in our Darien, CT, New Canaan, CT, and Westport, CT offices. Flex Lab Services Specialists lend support to multiple One Medical locations in a market and location and schedule are subject to change.
