The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing venipuncture services and collecting blood samples from patients
- Performing and assisting with extended scope duties, such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintaining high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Continuing to care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
- Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), another accrediting organization recognized by the United States Department of Education, or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
