The OpportunityWe're seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team as a Lab Services Specialist. In this role, you'll play a critical part in providing an exceptional experience for our patients, delivering high-quality venipuncture services, and supporting our providers and administrative assistants. You'll be an integral part of our patient's primary care team, utilizing the highest standards of care to perform specimen collections and processing, while providing a personalized and calming experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Support our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties, such as biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting
- Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
- Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
- Graduated from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or completion of relevant Medical Assistant training by any branch of the armed forces
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks

The range for this role is $25.75 to $27.75 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include benefits.
