Job Summary

The Multnomah Education Service District is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Support Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our Student Services department, you will play a critical role in implementing student behavioral and instructional support plans, monitoring student behavior and performance, and providing daily support to students and teachers in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare instructional and behavioral materials to facilitate student learning and performance
  • Assist students with behavioral strategies and interventions to promote social and academic growth
  • Utilize de-escalation and crisis minimization techniques to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, behavior consultants, and school administrators to develop and implement student-specific behavior interventions
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with behavioral and mental health challenges
  • Experience in positive behavior support strategies preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support student success
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
