Overview

Classic Granite & Marble operates a cutting-edge fabrication and production facility, complemented by an award-winning showroom. Our extensive inventory features over 8,000 slabs in 300 unique colors, allowing us to manage all aspects of projects from inception to completion, including laser templating, CAD design, fabrication, and installation. We cater to both residential clients and building contractors.

Role Summary

The Estimator plays a crucial role in determining project costs associated with stone fabrication and installation. This position involves a comprehensive understanding of project specifications, interpreting blueprints, and utilizing specialized software to generate precise cost estimates. The Estimator collaborates closely with sales, project management, and production teams to ensure that estimates are not only competitive but also profitable, while adhering to customer specifications and timelines.


Successful candidates will excel in a dynamic environment and demonstrate effective multitasking abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. This is a full-time role that includes industry-specific training.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and related documentation to prepare comprehensive time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Calculate expenses related to materials, labor, equipment, and other project components.
  • Employ estimating software to produce detailed and accurate cost assessments.
  • Prepare estimates for a variety of stonework applications, including countertops, bathrooms, vanities, fireplaces, and custom stone projects.
  • Draft and submit thorough and precise quotations to clients.
  • Collaborate with sales and project management teams to formulate and present proposals to customers.
  • Ensure compliance of all proposals with company standards and client requirements.
  • Engage with clients to clarify project needs and address any inquiries.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to customer questions regarding estimates and project costs.
  • Work closely with the sales team to grasp customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers and production teams to align estimates with production capabilities and schedules.
  • Continuously enhance estimating processes and tools to boost accuracy and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
