Marine Sales Executive for East Coast

We are currently seeking a dedicated Northeast Regional Sales Director to drive the growth of our marine division in the Northeast region of the United States, with a strong focus on enhancing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with our established commercial clientele to provide quotes and sell our current product lines. Strategically penetrate targeted accounts and generate sales from within the existing customer base.
  • Develop and nurture a network of referrals to uncover new revenue opportunities.
  • Address and overcome objections from potential customers while maintaining professionalism, tact, and sensitivity to represent the company positively.
  • Strategically plan and allocate time for sales activities with each distributor and major account within the assigned territory based on sales potential.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and devise technical solutions that align with budgetary and construction timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create technical proposals for customers.
  • Leverage marketing data to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct frontline assessments of market conditions and report findings to leadership.
  • Maintain a continuous awareness of new products, services, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  • Effectively manage a call schedule to ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned territory.
  • Keep accurate records, including detailed sales call reports.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, although relevant sales experience may be considered in lieu.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience; experience in the marine industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Proven experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call management, account development, and territory management.
  • Demonstrated success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision-makers.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

  • Self-motivated with high energy and an engaging enthusiasm.
  • Exceptional verbal communication, listening, and presentation skills.

  • Willingness to tackle complex issues and navigate challenges to strengthen the organization.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Work Schedule and Benefits:

  • This role necessitates frequent travel within the assigned territory. Candidates must be prepared to meet customers in various weather conditions and travel by car and plane over long distances.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion is required.
