Position Summary:
As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and satisfaction of all guests while managing cruise operations efficiently. You will lead by example, maintaining high standards of service and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cruise Management:
- Serve as the cruise captain, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and safety regulations.
- Gather essential details from various departments to meet guest requests and enhance satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-cruise briefings with the crew to communicate vital information.
- Oversee adherence to safety protocols for both staff and guests.
- Participate in safety drills and training programs.
- Assist in the maintenance of all vessel systems and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with Coast Guard regulations and emergency response plans.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Recruit and train crew members as needed.
- Schedule staff according to operational needs.
- Foster positive relationships with team members and city officials.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Address guest concerns in coordination with management, utilizing strong communication skills.
- Ensure the implementation of safety programs in line with regulations.
- Complete necessary documentation, including shift records and safety training logs.
- Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting.
- Assist with payroll administration and scheduling.
- Attend all required meetings and contribute to team discussions.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must possess a valid 100-ton license with a clean record.
- A minimum of five years of marine experience, including two years in a captain role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of vessel systems and maintenance.
- Ability to operate vessels in accordance with all applicable regulations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
