Mental Health Specialist

The YMCA of Snohomish County is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Specialist to support the success of youth in our programs. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will promote social-emotional growth, academic achievement, and behavioral well-being through developmentally appropriate interventions and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small group support to participants, addressing behavioral, personal, and social-emotional issues.
- Collaborate with school personnel and YMCA staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote participant success, including crisis intervention and follow-up consultation with parents.
- Attend meetings with directors and coordinators to provide guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate records of behavioral interventions and participant progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth and families, particularly in mental health and social services.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and provide culturally responsive support.
- Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable.
