The Nursing Staffing Office provides tiered support based on patient needs.

As a Patient Monitoring Specialist and Administrative Coordinator (PMS-AC), you may be assigned to various Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units, Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units, and the Command Center (additional training required).

Key Responsibilities:
The Patient Monitoring Specialist and Administrative Coordinator (PMS-AC) is tasked with the continuous observation of electrocardiogram and SPO2 readings for assigned patients, promptly notifying the Registered Nurse of any changes.


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Daily maintenance and inspection of monitoring equipment.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure organization within the clinical area.
  • Respond to phone calls and patient call lights in a timely manner.
  • Assist patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as organizing the clinical area, tracking equipment inventory, and monitoring electronic orders.
  • Inform the Charge Nurse of new admissions and maintain census records.
  • Participate in shift swaps to ensure skill proficiency.
  • Execute other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a basic arrhythmia course (ECG certification) and ECG testing is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience as a Patient Monitoring Specialist or Administrative Coordinator in a healthcare setting is preferred. Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course, including medical terminology, is also preferred.

Non-exempt
Benefits:
Eligible for benefits (excluding Per Diem positions).
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem positions are available. Available hours: 72 (Full-Time), 48 (Part-Time), and 24 (Per Diem). Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts.
Shift Information:
Primarily nights; other shifts may be available.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to Department Director, Charge Nurse, Relief Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse.
