An Open Source Controls, LLC Exterior Sales Consultant is tasked with showcasing, estimating, and marketing exterior cladding solutions, while fostering strong relationships with clients in the local area.

This role involves assessing and updating market labor costs for exterior cladding installation and integrating these figures into project estimates. The consultant will also provide training to store staff and ensure builders are well-informed about product offerings. A deep commitment to the company's mission and objectives is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in exterior estimating or sales
• Proficient understanding of roofing and cladding installation standards and regulations
• Capability to interpret architectural drawings
• Proven track record of boosting sales and enhancing profitability
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service abilities
• Experience in conducting training sessions is advantageous
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Relationship Management
• Cultivates customer relationships by engaging with clients to assess their requirements and recommending suitable products.
• Accountable for sustaining and growing sales of exterior cladding solutions.
• Delivers presentations to builders and offers expert insights on product advantages and specifications.
• Utilizes ladders to access rooftops for material inspections and estimates.
• Conducts material takeoffs for exterior cladding products to ensure compliance with building codes, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
• Guarantees timely ordering and shipping of products.
Communication
• Maintains open communication channels among team members and clients to ensure accurate and prompt service.• Engages with suppliers to guide store program strategies.
Knowledge & Development
• Identifies personal development needs and seeks opportunities for improvement; acquires product knowledge; learns about building packages and offerings.
• Provides training on exterior cladding to builders, installers, and store staff.
• Ensures that employees remain updated on supplier programs.
