Job Summary

The Retail Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring a profitable and efficient environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Management: Oversee the parts department, ensuring seamless operations and achieving sales goals.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing obsolescence.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Develop and implement purchasing policies, including purchase orders and inventory guide figures.
  • Staff Development: Train, develop, and motivate department employees to achieve maximum performance.
  • Customer Service: Foster strong relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the parts department.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: Two years of experience as a Parts Manager at an automobile dealership or wholesale parts department.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and managerial skills, with the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
