The Automotive Service Specialist is responsible for executing vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards, while fostering customer loyalty through trust and confidence in AutoNation as a reliable partner for vehicle safety and dependability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting vehicle repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders with precision and efficiency, in line with dealership and manufacturer standards to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Regularly communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to effectively manage workflow and customer interactions.
  • Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs as authorized by the customer.
  • Carrying out comprehensive multi-point inspections to provide suitable recommendations for ensuring the safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
  • Documenting all work performed on each vehicle in the repair order.
  • Maintaining an inventory of standard technician tools not typically managed by the Service department.
  • Staying updated on factory technical bulletins and participating in relevant factory-sponsored training sessions.
  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.

Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
