Position Overview:
As a Senior Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for the operation of advanced X-ray machinery to generate high-quality radiographic images of designated anatomical regions for diagnostic evaluation. You will collaborate closely with physicians during imaging procedures and serve as a liaison among various medical departments. This role requires extensive expertise and experience in diagnostic mammography, while also providing leadership and coordination for team members.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough patient assessments and perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing diverse imaging technologies.
2. Clearly communicate the imaging process to patients, ensuring their understanding and addressing any concerns promptly.
3. Maintain and service radiographic equipment, implementing necessary adjustments and upgrades.
4. Specialize in the creation of both routine and complex diagnostic images for the identification of breast abnormalities.
5. Evaluate diagnostic images meticulously and modify imaging parameters as needed to achieve optimal results.
6. Employ radiation protection techniques and patient shielding practices to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
7. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in mammographic radiology, mentoring junior staff as required.
8. Uphold stringent sanitation and safety protocols throughout the imaging process and equipment maintenance.
9. Undertake additional related responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or a related discipline.
2. A minimum of three years of clinical experience as a staff technologist in mammography or related fields.
3. Valid state Radiologic Technology License.
4. ARRT Mammography Certification.
5. Current CPR Certification.


Preferred:
1. Four or more years of clinical experience as a staff technologist in mammography or related areas.
2. Additional certifications such as ARDMS, BLS, RHM, or CRT are preferred.
