Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with clients to explore various hairstyling options.
  • Understanding client preferences through active listening.
  • Explaining different hair care products and styles.
  • Performing hair services including shampooing, cutting, coloring, highlighting, perming, and teasing.
  • Establishing a personal rapport with clients to encourage repeat visits.
  • Maintaining salon hygiene and safety standards.
  • Coordinating appointments and greeting clients upon arrival.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid New Jersey State Cosmetology license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with roller sets and teasing techniques.
  • Ability to assist clients in wheelchairs.
  • Ready to build a clientele in a busy salon environment with wonderful residents.
  • No chair rental required.
  • Team-oriented mindset is essential.
  • Must have a compassionate and friendly demeanor. COVID-19 protocols are strictly followed, including daily screenings and mandatory mask-wearing.
  • Cannot engage in work at other salons during the pandemic; routine testing will be enforced.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in hairstyling (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Licensure:

  • Current New Jersey State Cosmetology license (Required)
