Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a key member of our psychiatric unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional staff in the care of psychiatric patients, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of the unit's therapeutic environment, promoting a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign checks and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with the team to evaluate patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Certificate Program in Certified Nursing Assistant or some college-level social science preferred.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience required; Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and meet WellSpan Risk Management's driving record requirements.
