Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Aid Reconciliation
  • Online filing of all out-of-state taxes and filing paperwork in the office
  • Completion of monthly bank reconciliations in QuickBooks and filing of paperwork in the office
  • Assist with AIS Cardinal Reconciliation
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Medium level knowledge and experience of MS Excel, MS Word, QuickBooks, Outlook, and Emails
  • Ability to handle large amounts of data and ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current experience with primary job objectives (Financial Aid Reconciliation, Bank Recons, and filing out-of-state taxes)
