Job Summary:

Reynolds Community College is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing daily transactions, recording information, and reconciling data for reporting and organization of all data. This is a part-time position that requires a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent Excel skills and Microsoft Outlook proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze transactions for conformity with procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Perform detailed work in numerical data and make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets, and have a strong familiarity of office procedures and automated systems.
• Communicate verbally and in writing, and present information effectively.
• Work cooperatively with others, and research questionable accounting revenue and expense items to conclusion.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze transactions and perform detailed work in numerical data.
• Strong Excel skills and Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

• An Excel test may be required to demonstrate skill.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
