Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager for Financial Empowerment to join our team at HumanKind. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in helping low-to-moderate income individuals gain access to fair-interest vehicle loans, improving their financial stability, and moving toward greater self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with program participants by providing consistent, empathetic financial coaching and case management from the pre-screening process through loan pay-off.
  • Actively participate in community events and collaborate with local partners to increase awareness of the program, driving new participant referrals and expanding the program's impact.
  • Clearly explain the program to potential participants, assist them in navigating the application and vehicle selection process, and offer support to those who are not loan-ready to prepare them for future opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Loan Team to support participants in maintaining their loans, managing crises, and overcoming obstacles, ensuring high rates of loan repayment and credit score improvement.
  • Lead educational workshops within the community, offering participants valuable insights into vehicle ownership, financial literacy, and other key topics. Collaborate with community partners to bring in guest speakers and build a network of resources.
  • Accurately document participant progress and success stories using appropriate software, contributing to program data and helping to secure ongoing funding and support.
  • Collaborate effectively within the statewide team to align on goals, share best practices, and contribute to the program's success.

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related work experience, and lived experience.
