About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team at Providence Service. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and arrival process for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
  • Complete financial clearance functions and collect accurate demographic information, insurance information, and patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
  • Work under the direction of the PAS supervisor/manager to ensure efficient and effective patient registration processes.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) upon hire.
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) upon hire.
  • 3 years experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • 3 years utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
  • Knowledge in medical billing codes.
  • 1 year knowledge of Epic Applications.
