About the Role:

This position is designed to manage incoming calls, requests for pre-surgical testing visits, day of surgery work-ups, and phone interviews. The employee screens all calls provided by a physician office or other resource unit, collecting clinical information required to schedule the appropriate type and time of appointment. This position is critical for all customer needs and future interaction between patients, physician offices, and resources within the corporation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen all calls and accurately schedule pre-surgical testing appointments.
  • Collect patient medical history and scheduled procedural information and record accurately.
  • Obtain pertinent medical records for pre-operative charts.
  • Assist with preparation of pre-surgical testing charts for nursing staff.
  • Compile statistics daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Function as a superuser for FaxCert system.
  • Identify, label, and index all data received through FaxCert system.
  • Participate in training and orientation of new employees.
Requirements:
  • Licensure or other certifications: CRT experience.
  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum Experience: CRT experience.
  • Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Medical Terminology.
  • Preferred Educational Requirements: Medical Terminology.
  • Preferred Experience: Some medical office experience.
