Job Summary

The Leaders Rheum is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Representative to provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for assisting patients in navigating the healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic scheduling systems.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical history during registration.
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients in a timely manner.
  • Answer phone calls and inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Assist patients with completing registration forms and other necessary paperwork.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers as directed by physicians.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure patient satisfaction and continuity of care.
Requirements
  • 1 year or more in a healthcare environment
  • Associate degree or any combination of education and work experience in a customer service-related role.
  • Experience with Medical terminology
