Inventory Control Specialist

Position ScopeThe Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in the precise reporting of manufactured goods. This position, whether directly or through management, is vital in achieving the company's objectives and goals. The specialist will engage actively in departmental initiatives and collaborate closely with the Continuous Improvement Engineer, Materials Team, Controller, and Production Team.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as an inventory authority, utilizing ERP systems to resolve discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Regularly maintain minimum inventory levels and conduct cycle counts to monitor accuracy.
- Communicate current inventory status with the material scheduler.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to locate and perform cycle counts on products.
- Update inventory databases with the most current data.
- Verify data entry from Receivers and oversee FIFO of raw materials across the facility.
- Engage with the CMS database to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and analyze root causes.
- Work alongside Quality Management to address supplier quality concerns, ensuring production integrity.
- Stay informed about system updates and training requirements relevant to job functions.
- Be responsible for understanding and managing the Environmental Management System (EMS) as outlined in the EMS policy.
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or inventory management.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in database applications and administrative systems, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Highly motivated, service-oriented individual with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Required supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent internal customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with good computer proficiency.
