About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Texas Oncology. As a key member of our cancer care support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets Patients and Visitors: Professionally welcome patients and their families, checking them in and informing clinical staff of their arrival.
  • Schedules Appointments: Registers and schedules appointments for patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Answers Calls and Messages: Screens and directs incoming calls to the appropriate personnel, relaying messages between patients and clinical staff.
  • Supports Compliance Program: Adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Receptionist or Office Experience: Preferred.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Training and Certification: Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Front Medical Office Receptionist Experience: At least 18 months of experience with insurance forms and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of Practice Routines: Familiarity with our practice's personnel, daily routines, and scheduling procedures.
