Position Overview: Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

In the role of Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Design Miami, you will be instrumental in propelling the growth and international reach of our Miami-based organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of establishing global partnerships, coupled with strong leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of brands within the luxury sectors. A pre-existing network of industry contacts and significant experience in initiating dialogues with potential partners to secure strategic business opportunities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Formulate a partnership acquisition strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Partnership Cultivation: Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, secure international contracts with luxury brands, meet or exceed revenue targets, and manage partner relationships effectively.
  • Product and Service Growth: Identify new marketable opportunities at flagship fairs and collaborate with the VP of Marketing to create compelling pitches and impactful promotional materials.
  • Lead Engagement: Collaborate closely with the CEO to follow up on leads generated by the executive team; develop presentations, create proposals, manage communication efforts, draft contracts, and finalize agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts to ensure clear and favorable terms for all parties involved.
  • Market Insight: Identify emerging opportunities and stay informed about competitor activities and market dynamics.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor progress against revenue targets, provide regular forecasts, plan payment schedules, and ensure timely partner payments.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Consistently report on the status of partner prospecting and contracts to leadership, while forecasting anticipated partner revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A proven track record of at least 10 years in partnerships, business development, and leadership roles.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and a vast network of contacts within the luxury sector.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as necessary.
