Section Director, Tolling Services and Revenue Management

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Director to lead the Tolling Services and Revenue Section. This section is responsible for delivering two major functions necessary for MTC's operation of the region-wide FasTrak system: direction of the planning, implementation, and daily operations of the system, including management and oversight of the FasTrak Customer Service Center operations, and financial oversight for the processing, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting of tolls collected for Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) and Bay Area Infrastructure Financing Authority (BAIFA) toll facilities, and toll facilities owned by other regional operators.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning and strategy development for MTC's overall implementation of the region's FasTrak operations, including the back-office system, the regional customer service center, and the accounting of revenue coming through the FasTrak system.
- Work with Assistant Directors to ensure that all assignments are resourced correctly to ensure operational success.
- Coordinate with a number of other section directors and staff across the agency and be highly collaborative in nature.
- Develop and deliver presentations, as appropriate, to the Executive Officers, the BATA Board, and other key stakeholders.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience effectively leading and managing a division or department doing related work.
- Experience should include a minimum of four years senior management experience in agency administration, operations, management, or similar position.
- Project management experience, especially with leading the implementation of financial systems.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software and/or other financial management applications.
- Senior management experience in a regional or local government agency or in work contracting with such agencies.
