About the Role

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) is seeking a highly skilled Section Director to lead the Capital Delivery, Asset Management and Roadside Tolling Section. This section is responsible for the full lifecycle of customer-oriented, multi-modal projects and programs, with a focus on express lane, managed lane and toll bridge corridors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor staff in the Capital Delivery, Asset Management and Roadside Tolling Section
  • Provide performance oversight and clarify performance expectations
  • Collaborate with other MTC directors and staff to achieve long- and short-term goals and objectives
  • Oversee a diverse and changing set of assignments, including conceptualization, preparation of specific products, public review, and action by the Commission
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in planning, delivery, and/or operations and maintenance for tolled facilities and/or managed lanes
  • Knowledge of capital delivery processes from feasibility studies through construction, including the Caltrans process
  • Understanding of asset management and regional and multimodal transportation planning, policy, and funding
  • Ability to apply equity principles in transportation planning and operations
