Job Summary:

The Safety Manager will play a critical role in creating and implementing company-wide safety programs and policies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. This position will work closely with management to identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct regular safety assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate and analyze workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety metrics and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Partner with business units to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as safety, occupational health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in safety, construction, or a related field.
  • OSHA certification and experience with safety management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Work Environment:

This role will require frequent travel to various locations, including construction sites, offices, and other company facilities. The Safety Manager will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
