Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading housekeeping carts with all necessary supplies and equipment
  • Turning off all electricity and ensuring that heating or cooling is set to a safe temperature
  • Stripping all beds in checked-out rooms and dropping dirty linens to the laundry
  • Cleaning the cart and ensuring that all bottles are correctly labeled
  • Working in a fast-paced environment to ensure rooms are properly and thoroughly cleaned within a set timeframe
  • Obtaining the executive housekeeper's signature on the work assignment sheet
  • Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors
  • Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces
  • Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items
  • Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and equipment operating conditions
  • Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room issues to a supervisor
  • Preparing rooms for guest arrivals and responding to special guest requests
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of storage rooms and stocking carts
  • Removing and emptying linens from housekeeping carts into laundry carts and sending to laundry
  • Recording room status on work assignment sheets

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience required
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability and flexibility to work weekends and holidays
