Heavy Vehicle Operators

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The main responsibility of this role is to drive a Heavy Vehicle safely and efficiently while transporting materials at various job sites.
Engages in activities that align with the company's mission: Unified Team, Shared Purpose:Safety, Quality, Productivity
II Responsibilities:
Below is a summarized list of responsibilities: Operates the vehicle in a secure and cost-effective manner to ensure minimal operational and maintenance expenses.
Never drives an unsafe vehicle. Must be proficient in completing logbooks and vehicle inspection documentation.Maintains up-to-date DOT personnel records with Human Resources. Notifies the maintenance team of any required repairs through vehicle inspection documentation.
Adheres to departmental and company protocols. Capable of climbing into and out of the truck bed. Manually cleans and removes debris from the truck bed and undercarriage. Works safely, utilizes appropriate PPE, and informs the supervisor of any potentially hazardous conditions. Keeps a tidy and organized work area/truck. Remains productive throughout the workday. Upholds personal appearance in line with company standards. Demonstrates a willingness to understand job site objectives and company-wide goals. Performs additional job site duties as necessary.III
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Required Skills:
Ability to listen and follow given instructions. Exhibit cooperative behavior towards colleagues, supervisors, and clients. Consistently arrives at work punctually. Follows proper procedures for reporting absences. Must hold a valid CDL driver's license and DOT medical certification. Maintains an acceptable driving record with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects, utilizing abdominal and lower back muscles for sustained support without fatigue, and effectively jumping, sprinting, or throwing objects. Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and coordination of multiple limbs.
