Job Summary

BAR Constructors, a leading heavy-civil municipal general contractor, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Haul Truck Driver to join our team in North and Central Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks to transport materials and equipment to various job site locations.
  • Work in the yard area to stockpile and move materials as needed.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
  • Attach and remove trailers, and load and unload equipment or materials.
  • Monitor gauges during operation and maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
  • Unroll truck tarps to cover loads when required.
  • Assure product quality and perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Report any problems to supervisors or safety personnel.
Requirements
  • Four-year degree in Construction Science or Engineering or related experience.
  • Must pass DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • MVR must meet company and DOT standards.
  • Must maintain current driver's license that meets state requirements.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently under various working conditions.
  • Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to lift hood of truck unassisted and up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis.
Working Conditions

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock or burn.
