Accounting Operations Specialist

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Operations Specialist to perform day-to-day accounting activities, including recording and reconciling transactions, resolving audit findings, and analyzing data using SQL queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cradle-to-grave accounts receivable tasks, including collection efforts.
  • Analyze trading partner agreements and process no-check drawn collection and charges to Department of Defense trading partners.
  • Monitor earned revenue to actual performing expenditures and perform follow-up on aged/delinquent accounts receivable documents.
  • Review and process adjustment transactions for unearned revenue against canceling appropriations and reconcile Interagency Payment transactions received and sent.
  • Process collection vouchers for payments received for Incoming Customer Orders and contract refunds received from vendors.
  • Process accounts payable transactions for incoming customer order transactions and record obligation documents against previously established Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs).
  • Record accounts payable transactions from requests received from outside organizations and assist with maintenance of desktop procedures (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Assist in the documentation and monitoring of audit discrepancies and the resolution through the Corrective Action Plan process.
  • Perform system configuration and analysis for new DoD organization implementations and perform basic SQL queries against accounting system data tables and journal entries.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of DoD accounting processing experience.
  • 4-year degree or 6 additional years of experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance, JAFAN eligible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Momentum Financial Software.
  • Experience with Special Access Programs or SCI Programs.
  • Experience running SQL Queries.

Other Requirements:

  • Expected work week: 40 hours.
  • Preferred work hours: 8:00-16:00, Monday-Friday.
  • Anticipate extended hours from 15 Aug-10 Oct each year for the Annual Fiscal Year closeout process.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.

The projected compensation range for this position is $103,800.00-$172,700.00.
