Client Executive - Telecommunications


Slalom is seeking a Client Executive based in Seattle to enhance our presence within a prominent wireless telecom client.

In this role, you will collaborate with capability leaders and various markets to position Slalom as the preferred consulting partner for transformative initiatives across both business and technology sectors.

The Client Executive will work alongside colleagues throughout Slalom to introduce innovative ideas, craft compelling proposals, and deliver exceptional results, thereby expanding Slalom's consulting reach with current clients and paving the way for new opportunities.

This leader will also provide solutions that enrich our transformation narrative and build upon our solid foundation with existing strategic and emerging partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Realize our vision of accelerating growth and innovation for technology companies, establishing ourselves as their trusted consulting partner through our thought leadership and consistent delivery of business results.

Client Engagement:

o Industry Insight:
Possess expertise, enthusiasm, and thought leadership regarding the significant changes driving transformation in the wireless sector. Ability to apply industry challenges within a client context and articulate a thoughtful perspective.

o Relationship Management:
Collaborate closely with Sales Executives, Capability Leads, and Delivery Leaders to nurture relationships at the executive level. Proactively manage escalations and anticipate challenges at the executive level to mitigate risks when issues arise. Provide training and support in key operational functions.

o Portfolio Strategy:
Partner with Sales Executives to develop a comprehensive account strategy for complex, multi-market accounts.

o Project Oversight:
Identify opportunities to engage subject matter experts to support or enhance project delivery. Drive thought leadership initiatives aimed at improving our transformational customer satisfaction metrics.

Account Leadership:

o Business Growth:
Lead proposal development and collaborate with the Pursuit Team to implement sales strategies. Oversee negotiations and closure of business opportunities.

o Financial Acumen:
Understand the nuances of managing operations across multiple accounts.

Possess knowledge of common practices when engaging with procurement organizations and the variations in procurement processes across different client sizes and industries.


Seattle Leadership & Collaboration:

o Strategic Alignment:
Work closely with local market leaders to align global account strategies with local market objectives.

o Collaborative Practices:

Engage collaboratively with Slalom practices to define service offerings that address the needs of the technology sector, bring those offerings to market, and deliver capabilities through project execution.



o Market Advocacy:
Enhance Slalom's visibility in the market by participating in and speaking at industry events, panels, and similar engagements.

About You

  • Professional Background
o Minimum of 5 years in professional services account or delivery management

o At least 7 years of relevant experience in the wireless and/or telecom sector, whether in-house or within a consulting environment

  • Consulting Expertise
o Proven experience managing transformational programs that integrate people, processes, and technology.

o Relevant experience in achieving utilization targets

o Direct experience in contract negotiations involving NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs

o Experience overseeing the performance of individual consultants, whether as direct reports or as part of project teams

o Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

o Exceptional writing skills with extensive experience in creating polished content for client executives

o Significant experience in oversight, governance, and quality assurance of all managed engagements

o Maintains awareness of industry best practices and business drivers relevant to a specific client portfolio and understands the interaction of Slalom Practice Areas

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is dedicated to supporting team members in both their professional and personal lives.

As such, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes meaningful time off, paid holidays, parental leave, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and a variety of options for highly subsidized health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as adoption and fertility assistance, and short/long-term disability.

Additionally, we provide an annual $350 reimbursement account for well-being-related expenses, along with discounted home, auto, and pet insurance.

Slalom is committed to equitable compensation practices.

The base salary range for this position is $195,000 to $245,000 for Director roles and $170,000 to $220,000 for Senior Principal roles.

Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted at any time.
