Senior Business Development Manager

Pacific Premier Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to lead the development and maintenance of commercial banking relationships in the San Diego market.

Responsibilities- Develop new depository and loan customer relationships through organized consultations and community events, introducing the bank's products and services to prospective clients.
- Evaluate and analyze customers' financial and business needs, providing expert advice on financial products and services offered by Pacific Premier Bank.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and departments to achieve customer goals and address needs.
- Makes independent threshold determinations regarding creditworthiness, assessing risks based on business nature, financial history, collateral, and other factors.
- Actively manage and maintain existing client relationships by monitoring financial condition and business aspects, responding to daily and long-term banking needs.
- Discuss and evaluate current business requirements to anticipate additional customer needs or concerns.
- Develop individual marketing strategies and approaches to promote the bank's financial products.
- Specialize in particular industries to gain deeper knowledge of client needs and challenges.
- Scrutinize customer information for irregularities, discrepancies, and fraud.
- Negotiate credit pricing, terms, and conditions with small to middle-market company executives.
- Makes site visits to examine collateral for loans or assessments.
- Supports bank compliance efforts and maintains expertise on banking trends, delivery channels, and regulatory issues.
- Facilitates the creation of necessary documentation for loans and accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial banking, sales, or business development.
- Strong understanding of financial products and services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
