Job Summary

The Business Office Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all business office and primary accounting functions for our retirement community. This includes processing payroll, managing accounts receivable and payable, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll (semi-monthly) and manage employee benefits
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing and reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Assist with budgeting and financial planning, including forecasting and variance analysis
  • Partner with leadership team to make informed financial decisions
  • Assist with HR tasks, including benefits administration and compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Experience with computerized accounting software, including RealPage property management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
