Job Overview

Position Summary

The role is essential in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service during their parking experience while managing the flow of vehicles in and out of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the cash register and necessary supplies at the beginning of each shift.
  • Issue parking tickets to customers, ensuring all required details are accurately recorded.
  • Process payments through cash, credit card, or validation, securing cash in accordance with company protocols.
  • Handle exceptional transactions, such as lost tickets, following company guidelines and completing necessary documentation.
  • Provide accurate change for cash transactions and issue receipts for all fees collected.
  • Complete daily shift reports, documenting transactions by rate, vehicle counts, and ticket types.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier booth, ensuring it is free from clutter and adheres to company standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and thanking them upon exit.
  • Arrive on time, dressed in the appropriate uniform, and uphold a professional appearance.
  • Assist in completing Customer Damage Reports and communicate necessary information to the Claims Department.
  • Notify management of any issues requiring attention.
  • Review and acknowledge company policies and procedures relevant to job duties.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Occasionally assist with minor cleaning or maintenance tasks as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with customers and colleagues.
  • Provide customer resolutions in a courteous manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the service industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic math skills are beneficial.

Performance Evaluation

This position will undergo an annual performance review to assess actual performance against company expectations and set goals for the upcoming year.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks. The work environment may expose employees to varying weather conditions, fumes, and noise levels.

Internal and External Contacts

This position involves regular interaction with management, corporate staff, peers, customers, vendors, and property management representatives.
