Position Overview
Wittenberg Weiner Consulting LLC is in search of a Senior Accountant to support our operations in a critical capacity.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the establishment of routine financial reconciliation processes for the Civilian workforce.
  • Providing budgetary reconciliation, including Proprietary (Treasury Tie Point) assessments.
  • Reconciling all significant United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) accounts.
  • Preparing audit schedules that support annual financial statement components such as the Balance Sheet, Statement of Budgetary Resources, and Statements of Net Costs.
  • Reconciling all NERP Sub-ledgers with the General Ledger.
  • Managing Manual Journal Vouchers (JVs) for reimbursable program(s) accrued revenue.
  • Assisting in the creation of automated support for monthly, quarterly, and annual manual JVs related to the accrual of reimbursable revenues.
  • Supporting Balance Sheet – OMB A-123 processes concerning Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) Inventories and Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) balance sheet items.
  • Developing audit schedules and work papers to substantiate balances on financial statements.
  • Conducting research on financial accounting and auditing standards.

Work Environment
The work environment is characterized by moderate noise levels typical of a business office, with the presence of computers, phones, and printers. The role may also involve occasional exposure to louder environments.

Physical Demands
Employees in this position are required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer is necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Travel Requirements
Occasional travel (11-20%) may be necessary.

Basic Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Possession of a current professional license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board's (FASAB) regulations.
  • Understanding of Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Concepts (SFFAC) and Standards (SFFAS).
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards Board's (FASB) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Federal Government Accounting or similar roles is preferred.
