Position Overview

As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the Systems Department of the United States Navy.

Eligibility Criteria

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with audit policies and concepts in financial business processes and systems.
  • Oversee financial systems and databases for budget and accounting processes, adhering to DOD Financial Management Regulations.
  • Provide both functional and technical expertise to facilitate the transition to N-ERP capabilities.
  • Offer advice based on a solid understanding of Federal regulations and financial management policies.
Employment Conditions

  • Must be deemed suitable for federal employment.
  • Participation in the direct deposit pay program is required.
  • New employees must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.

  • This position requires Financial Management Level II certification.
  • Security clearance must be obtained and maintained.
  • Travel may be required to various locations, including remote sites.
Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-12, candidates must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. This experience should include:
  • Analyzing budgetary and proprietary account balances.
  • Providing execution reports on financial transactions.
  • Conducting studies and analyzing financial data for process improvement.
  • Utilizing financial management systems effectively.
