Overview:
The Financial Analyst serves as a vital connection between A.P. Moller - Maersk and its financial divisions. This role enhances financial outcomes by delivering essential support regarding fiscal data and operational performance.
Foster a robust performance management framework and operational system that aligns with the leadership's strategic objectives, enabling the finance team to promptly identify performance discrepancies.
Acts as a reliable consultant to the finance team by offering analytical insights to facilitate informed decision-making.Primary Duties:
Guarantee the timely and precise submission of financial data and metrics into the parent financial systems, including, but not limited to, OneStream.
Meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deadlines.
Identify opportunities for enhancement and propose/implement modifications to achieve targeted outcomes.
Collaborate with the finance team to comprehend financial reporting and analytical requirements, and assist in the development of effective solutions.
Engage with the broader finance and operations teams to remain informed about business developments that influence operational changes and their financial implications.
Actively participate in the finance community to exchange best practices and insights as necessary.
Determine appropriate accounting and financial reporting standards for new business initiatives.
Support the commitment to safety and other selected company standards and certifications.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements:
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Business is required (Accounting degree is highly preferred). The degree must be from an accredited institution.
Experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment is essential.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Exceptional analytical abilities.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
