Financial Oversight: Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations and internal controls. Perform ongoing financial analysis to detect trends, discrepancies, and areas for enhancement. Generate and evaluate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Supervise cash flow, budgets, and financial performance indicators to aid decision-making. Deliver financial insights and suggestions to upper management based on comprehensive data analysis. Support audit processes and regulatory compliance as necessary. Prepare reports for executive leadership, including the CFO and controller. Assist in budget formulation, variance analysis, and compliance reporting related to program management. 2. Accounting Functions: Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing. Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness. Maintain records of fixed assets and their depreciation. Aid in tax preparation and statutory reporting obligations. Provide support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as required. Prepare accounting information for internal and external audits. Analyze contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition methods. Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary data for revenue recognition. Create revenue forecasts and reports for management assessment. 3. Collaborative Engagement: Work with cross-departmental teams to enhance processes and efficiency within the finance sector. Offer training and guidance to junior staff as needed. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the finance team. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A valid CPA is required (consideration may be given for relevant experience or certifications in lieu of CPA). Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and general accounting standards, with knowledge of FAR/DFAR guidelines preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in financial practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CostPoint is highly desirable. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, push, pull, stoop, crawl, kneel, balance, lift, and carry various objects. General office environment with sedentary work, requiring standing and walking for up to 30% of the time. Adequate lighting and temperature, with minimal exposure to hazardous conditions. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work primarily performed in an office setting, with standard office equipment, but also requires interaction with operations teams in industrial environments.
