About the Role

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to clients in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on insurance clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting services to clients in the Financial Services sector, with a focus on insurance clients.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide insurance industry knowledge and experience.
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope, acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Build and manage client relationships, advising clients and delivering high-quality tax services and advice.
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets.
Requirements
  • Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm, with a minimum of three years working with insurance, banking, or asset management corporate entities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, with additional approved credentials listed on KPMG's website.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and working knowledge of SSAP 101.
  • Experience with corporate taxation and consolidated returns.
