KPMG is actively seeking an International Tax Manager/Senior Manager to enhance our International Tax practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as an international tax consultant for clients across various sectors, providing a wide range of international tax services and solutions.


Support business development initiatives aimed at expanding services for both new and existing clients; collaborate effectively with other tax practice groups, the firm, and non-U.S. KPMG member firms to deliver tailored services that address client needs.

Oversee, guide, and manage multiple client engagement teams while maintaining open communication with clients to align expectations.

Conduct research, draft, and review tax advice for clients concerning both domestic and international tax issues.

Lead and manage international components of outsourced or co-sourced compliance and other quantitative international tax projects.

Keep clients informed about U.S. technical developments and their implications for federal and international tax matters.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:
Engage in and contribute to external market and business activities while providing leadership and maintaining managerial oversight for a team.

Serve as a coach, mentor, or performance manager to fellow tax professionals.

Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of comprehensive experience in international corporate taxation, or five years of extensive experience in M&A or federal tax with a desire to transition into international corporate taxation.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA licensure, along with other credentials from KPMG's approved list; candidates lacking at least one approved designation upon hire must obtain one within one year of employment.


Candidates with international corporate tax experience should possess familiarity with several of the following areas: outbound transactional structuring, Subpart F and 954(h), inbound transactional structuring, check-the-box principles, U.S. tax treaty research and interpretation, repatriation strategies, intellectual and intangible property planning, structured finance, base shifting, FSC/EIE, foreign tax credit planning, transfer pricing, and international mergers and acquisitions.


Candidates with other relevant experience seeking to transition into international corporate taxation should have substantial expertise in planning areas pertinent to their current discipline.

Strong skills in planning, research, and communication, along with a solid understanding of corporate tax compliance; demonstrated capability in business development.

Comprehensive knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal taxation.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:
A minimum of eight years of extensive experience in international corporate taxation or eight years of broad experience in M&A or federal tax with a desire to transition into international corporate taxation.

Proven experience in building and managing client relationships.
