Job Summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and services to our residents by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medication and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner.
  • Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates and changes are implemented effectively.
  • Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Care Plans (ICPs).
  • Transcribe orders and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act regulations.
  • Practice safety procedures at all times, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire extinguishers.
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately.
  • Ensure the safe storage and disposal of medications and hazardous materials.
Requirements
  • LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
