About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at One Medical. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with bilingual applicants encouraged to apply
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with additional experience with remote teams a plus
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
  • Phlebotomy experience and/or certification preferred
  • Experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs, preferred

Competitive Salary

The starting salary for this role is $19.00 per hour, based on a full-time schedule.

This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday-Friday between 7:30am-5pm, based in our Dadeland office in Miami, FL.
