We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pediatric Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Labcorp in Austin, Texas.

About the Role:

  • As a Pediatric Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing skilled specimen collections for patients of all ages.
  • You will be the face of our company, interacting with patients and their families to ensure a positive experience.
  • Additionally, you will have opportunities for continuous growth and professional development within our organization.

Work Schedule and Location:

  • This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
  • The work location is in Austin, Texas, with the possibility of occasional travel to other sites.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other medical tests.
  • Enter patient information into our system accurately and efficiently.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
  • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist is required.
  • Pediatric phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
