Overview:The Conference Services Manager is responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our clients by providing active communication, planning, and team leadership. This role requires a strong understanding of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, and budget forecasting.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective strategies to exceed meeting planner satisfaction and raise meeting planner evaluation scores.
- Consistently participate in the re-booking of repeat business by building long-term client relationships.
- Utilize strong sales techniques, including closing skills and negotiating skills, to drive revenue growth.
- Work closely with the banquet department to ensure seamless event execution and provide creative solutions for groups.
- Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations, including detailed execution of all banquet event orders.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments and third-party vendors to ensure client satisfaction.
- Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for operating departments, and attend required meetings.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Prior experience in the field of hospitality, with specific experience in catering sales, is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years within the Hospitality Industry required.
- Must have experience at a similar size and quality hotel.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.
- Ability to execute appropriate action plans and work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
