Position Title Guest Experience Associate
Reports To Guest Experience Manager
Department Guest Experience
Position Summary This role is dedicated to providing an exceptional, engaging, and enjoyable experience for all visitors. The individual will be responsible for delivering outstanding service in a friendly and professional manner, while also enhancing sales opportunities and creating memorable moments for guests.
Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Aim to meet and exceed customer satisfaction metrics to enhance visitor experiences.
  • Inform, entertain, and inspire guests throughout their journey.
  • Facilitate safe and positive interactions between animals and guests.
  • Monitor and report on daily operational conditions to the Guest Experience Manager.
  • Ensure timely execution of programs and presentations according to the published schedule.
  • Stay informed about new products and offerings.
  • Keep updated on new animal arrivals within the facility.
  • Identify and recommend sales opportunities that enhance the visitor experience.
  • Create unique and memorable experiences for guests.
  • Participate in training programs to deliver the best possible guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the facility.
  • Ensure accurate collection of admission and sales data for reporting purposes.
  • Oversee guest flow to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure a seamless visitor experience.
  • Work with the Animal Care Department to uphold animal welfare standards.
  • Contribute to a team environment that encourages motivation and communication.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Report any animal care or welfare concerns to the Animal Care Department.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in customer service, retail, or guest relations is preferred.
  • Experience with cash handling is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to anticipate the needs of guests.
  • Technologically adept, with the ability to learn Point of Sale systems.
  • Creative problem solver who thrives in challenging situations.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to engage in new projects and ideas.
Essential Abilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in accessing and accurately inputting information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to observe and respond to emergency situations.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Additional Information
  • All team members must adhere to the standards, rules, and regulations established by the company, which may be updated periodically.
  • Due to the nature of the leisure industry, team members may be required to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
