Role Overview:

The Community Engagement Specialist will be a proactive and sociable individual, eager to connect with the public in both group settings and one-on-one interactions. This role encompasses comprehensive training in various aspects, including the design and implementation of fundraising initiatives, event setup, merchandise display, and effectively communicating our partners' missions to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in team meetings to discuss client objectives and evaluate progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure clarity in role expectations and task completion.
  • Engage with community members at events to raise awareness about the non-profit initiatives.
  • Deliver informative presentations to diverse audiences, addressing any inquiries regarding the charity.
  • Employ effective sales strategies to foster community support, both financially and through other means.
  • Establish ongoing communication with donors to keep them informed about program developments.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere, offering and receiving support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, marketing, or sales is advantageous.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to speak confidently in front of groups.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative spirit are necessary.
  • A desire for personal growth and leadership within the organization is encouraged.
