UCLA School of Dentistry seeks a seasoned Director of Development to lead our major gifts program. As a key member of our advancement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to secure significant gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts strategy to meet the academic priorities of the School of Dentistry
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and faculty
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects, with a focus on securing gifts of $100,000 or more
- Collaborate with the Dean and other senior leaders to advance the School's strategic goals
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, with a focus on moving prospects through the giving cycle
- Develop and implement special events and campaigns to engage donors and advance the School's mission
- Minimum of three years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of securing major gifts
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of fundraising in a university setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with donors, alumni, and faculty
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
