Position Overview:
As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of buffet services for various meal periods, ensuring a safe and efficient operation. Your role will involve assisting guests to guarantee that all food items are served appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO) to understand setup requirements.
  • Set tables accurately and uniformly in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at your station while adhering to established service protocols.
  • Be available for flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Utilize proper clearing techniques and equipment.
  • Assist the Banquet Captain with the setup and breakdown of buffet and special food service tables.
  • Provide attentive service to guests, following established guidelines for food and beverage service.
  • Ensure kitchen and storage areas are kept clean in accordance with management policies.
  • Communicate needs and concerns clearly and promptly to the Banquet Captain or management.
  • Complete all setup and closing tasks, including arranging tables with linens, skirting, food, and utensils.
  • Maintain the buffet throughout service, ensuring timely availability of food items and utensils.
  • Assist guests as needed, employing suggestive selling techniques to enhance their experience.
  • Clean and organize the buffet area post-service, returning all items to their designated locations.
  • Perform polishing and side work duties as required.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with customer service principles and food service operations.
  • Ability to handle various customer service challenges with tact and understanding.

Physical Requirements:
The role demands physical stamina, including prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • Ability to lift and carry items as needed.
  • Manual dexterity for handling food and service equipment.
  • Capability to bend, kneel, and maneuver in tight spaces.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy environment.
